Professor Guoxiu Wang is the Director of the Centre for Clean Energy Technology and a Distinguished Professor at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. He currently holds an ARC Professorial Future Fellowship. Professor Wang is an expert in materials chemistry, electrochemistry, energy storage and conversion, and battery technologies. His research interests include lithium-ion batteries, lithium-air batteries, sodium-ion batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen storage materials, fuel-cells, graphene, and chemical functionalization of graphene. Professor Wang has published more than 360 refereed journal papers with an h-index of 60. His publications have attracted over 13,000 citations (Web of Science).

Chuan-Jian Zhong is professor of Chemistry and Materials Science and Engineering at State University of New York at Binghamton, USA. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed scientific articles, which have received more than 25,500 citations with an h-index of 88 and i10-index of 260 in Google Scholar Citation Index.

Dr. Manoj Gupta was a former Head of Materials Division of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Director designate of Materials Science and Engineering Initiative at NUS, Singapore. He did his Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine, USA (1992), and postdoctoral research at University of Alberta, Canada (1992). Dr. Frank Cheng is a Professor and Canada Research Chair at the University of Calgary. He was named the Canadian Distinguished Materials Scientist in 2019.Frank is an internationally recognizedresearcherin Energy Pipeline Technology, specializing in pipeline corrosion and cracking, steel metallurgy, defect assessment, and hydrogen pipelines. He is the author of4 books and 270+ journal papers. The total citations of his publications exceed 13,900, with a H-index of 72. He ranks top 0.08% influential scientists in Materials subject according to the latest release by the University of Stanford/Elsevier. Dr. Eric Wei-Guang Diau has received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 1991, and has been a faculty member in the Department of Applied Chemistry, National Chiao Tung University since 2001. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Emory University (1993-1995), Queensland University (1995-1996), International Stanford Research Institute (1996-1997) and California Institute of Technology (1997-2001). He is interested in the research of condensed-phase spectroscopic dynamics, especially in the understanding of interfacial electron transfer, light capture energy transfer and light energy conversion kinetic systems. His current research focuses on the development of novel functional materials for photovoltaic and photocatalytic applications such as perovskite solar cells and CO2 reduction. He received “Sun Yat Sen Academic Award” in 2014, “MOST Outstanding Research Award” in 2018 and 2022, “17th Yu-Ziang Science Paper Award” in 2019 and “MOE 65th Academic Award” in 2022. He has published over 226 peer-reviewed SCI papers with H-index 68. He is currently Distinguished Professor at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU).

Dr. Chua Kian Jon is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore. He has been conducting research on renewable energy systems and heat recovery systems since 1997. He has conducted both modelling and experimental works for specific thermal energy systems. He is highly skilled in designing; fabricating; commissioning and testing many sustainable energy systems to provide for heating, cooling and humidity control for both small and large scale applications. He has been elected to several fellowships including Fellow of Royal Society, Fellow of Energy Institute and Fellow of IMechE. Masaru TANAKA is a professor at Kyushu University. He worked for TERUMO Co. (Leading Medical Devices Company) and designed novel biocompatible polymers and commercialized as medical devices such as catheters, and artificial lung and heart (Global market share No.1). In 2000 he moved to Hokkaido University and in 2007 he moved to Tohoku University. Stents covered with the self-organized porous 3D films are commercially available in the world clinical market (over 250 original patents). He was a Visiting Scientist, at Dept. of New Materials and Biosystems, Max-Planck-Institute (2008-2009). In 2009 he was awarded a full professorship at Yamagata University. He became a leader of Funding Program for Next Generation World-Leading Researchers (NEXT Program, Japan). Since 2015, he has been at Kyushu University as a full Professor. Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is Professor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. Paulo C. Vasudevanpillai Biju is a Professor at the Research Institute for Electronic Science and Graduate School of Environmental Science at Hokkaido University. He assumed this position after a research career - as a scientist and a senior scientist in AIST, Japan (2004-2015), a PRESTO researcher of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST, 2010-2014), a visiting Scientist at the University of Texas at Austin, USA (2007), a postdoctoral fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA (2003-2004), a JSPS postdoctoral fellow in AIST, Japan (2002-2003), and a research scientist at Angstrom Technology Partnership, Japan (2000-2002). His research interests include semiconductor nanocrystals and quantum dots, photo-functional molecules, nanobiotechnogy, and single-molecule techniques. Prof. Chung is a Jade Mountain Chair professor (玉山學者) at the Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology of NTUST, Taiwan. Before joining NTUST, he was a Provost’s Chair Professor at the ChBE dept of NUS in 2011-2021. His research focuses on polymeric membranes for clean water, clear air, clear energy and pharmaceutic separation. In 2005-2008, he worked as a Senior Consultant for Hyflux, led and built its membrane research team. He became a Fellow in the Academy of Engineering Singapore in 2012 and received IChemE (Institute of Chemical Engineers, UK) Underwood Medal for exceptional research in separations and Singapore President’s Technology Award in 2015. Qiuhe Peng graduated from Department of Astronomy, Nanjing University at 1960 firstly teacher at Peking University for 18 years and then is teaching at Nanjing University. He is mainly engaged in nuclear astrophysics, particle astrophysics and galactic astronomy research. In the field of nuclear astrophysics, He’s researches involve neutron stars (pulsars), the supernova explosion mechanism and the thermonuclear reaction inside the star, the synthesis of heavy elements and interstellar radioactive element such as the origin of celestial 26Al. 225 papers of him have be published.

Soshu Kirihara is a doctor of engineering and a professor of Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University, Japan. In his main investigation “Materials Tectonics as Sustainable Geoengineering” for environmental modifications and resource circulations, multi-dimensional structures were successfully fabricated to modulate energy and materials flows effectively. Ceramic and metal components were fabricated directly by smart additive manufacturing, design and evaluation (Smart MADE) using high power ultraviolet laser lithography. Original stereolithography systems were developed, and new start-up company “SK-Fine” was established through academic-industrial collaboration.

Dr. Berardi is Canada Research Chair in Building Science, Full Professor, and Director of the BeTOP center at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. His main research interests are related to the study of innovative solutions and new materials for improving the performance within the built environment. Dr. Berardi has an extensive publication record, including 150 peer-reviewed journals, 130 international conference papers, and five books. Dr. Berardi has a body of funded research comprising over $2.5M in government and private sector sponsored research. Prof. L Reddy has obtained his PhD degree in Physics from the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. His specialty is in condensed matter physics. Besides studying magnetic properties of materials of bulk materials, his focus is now on luminescent properties of phosphor materials for applications in phototherapy, light emitting devices and display lighting systems. A continuation of magnetic properties at nanoscale level is now being studied with his research team. He has published widely in many peer-reviewed journals and is regularly attending conferences where Keynote or Invited lectures are given around the world of current topics in nanotechnology. He has supervised many MSc and PhD students to completion. In South Africa he is regarded as a NRF rated scientist. He finds studies in nanotechnology to be at the forefront of solutions to modern issues such as in medicine, health, lighting devices and communication technology and solar cells.

Professor Hahn is Regents Professor of the Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), Fellow of the Korea Academy of Science and Technology (KAST), Fellow of the American Ceramic Society (ACerS) and Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). He joined JBNU in 1991, prior to which he worked for LG Metals Research Center for 1988-1991 after he received his Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Utah in 1988. His research interest is synthesis of metal and metal oxide nanostructures and their applications for solar cells, chemical and biological sensors, and printed elecronics, resulting in over 330 SCI papers (over 15200 citaions, h-index over 63 from Google scholar), 18 patents and two technology transfers. Prof. Harri Lipsanen received his PhD from Helsinki University of Technology in 1994. Since 1999 he has been a Professor of Nanotechnology in Aalto University, Finland. He has held several positions as Head of Laboratory and Department during past 20 years. In 2018 he was Nokia Foundation Visiting Professor in the University of Arizona, USA. He studies nanomaterials and nanofabrication for various applications in photonics and nanoelectronics. His current research focus on materials includes graphene and other 2D materials, compound semiconductor nanowires and their heterostructures. The nanofabrication activities extend over many methods such as atomic layer deposition, chemical vapor deposition, metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy, electron beam lithography, self-assembly etc. Prof. Lipsanen has published over 350 peer-reviewed articles.

Prof. Ruggero M. Santilli obtained his Ph. D. in theoretical physics at the University of Torino, Italy in 1965; he then emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1967 where he was on the faculty of the University of Miami, Boston University, MIT, and Harvard University under financial support from NASA, UFOSR and DOE. In 1991 he accepted the position of President and Professor at the Institute for Basic Research in Florida. He is the author of 345 papers published in refereed journals and twenty post Ph. D. monographs in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology; he is the Editor of a number of scientific journals in mathematics and physics and was awarded twelve U. S. patents. He is internationally known for developing new mathematics (known as Lie-admissible, Lie-isotopic and isodual mathematics) for the construction of hadronic mechanics, chemistry and biology, and for the verification of the 1935 Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen argument that "quantum mechanics is not a complete theory." These discoveries lead to the prediction of new technologies, incompatible with quantum mechanics but fully compatible with hadronic mechanics, which he developed as Chief Scientist at various U. Prof. Dr. Hosam Bayoumi Hamuda is working at Óbuda University, Faculty of Light Industry and Environmental Engineering, Institute of Environmental Engineering and Natural Sciences (Budapest, Hungary). Dr. Bonnie L. Gray joined the School of Engineering Science (ENSC) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Canada in 2003, where she is now a Full Professor, former ENSC Graduate Program Chair, and an elected member of University Senate. Dr. Gray is an Associate Member of the School of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology, and sits on the Advisory Board for the Vancouver Medical Device Development Centre. Dr Bohm published more than 50 patents, 100 scientific publications and more than 10 commercial products for multiple industries, Tata, Arcelor Mittal, Ceylon Graphite, Talga, CAMI, VEMS, TaihuLab. Dr Bohm worked at different academic institutions, including the University of Swansea, TU Delft, The University of Birmingham & India Institute of Technology Bombay. Dr Bohm is a multiple scientific award winner, he actively collaborate/visit China, Sri Lanka, Canada, India, Spain, Germany, Japan, France, USA and south Africa as a visiting fellow, expert and consultant and visiting professor.

In Su Lee received his PhD (2000) from Seoul National University under the supervision of Professor Young Keun Chung. After the work as a senior researcher at LG chemical (2000–2003), the post-doctoral research with Jeffrey Long at UC Berkeley (2003–2005), and the research with Taeghawn Hyeon for Creative Research Initiative Center for Oxide Nano-crystalline Materials at Seoul National University (2005–2006), he worked at Kyung Hee University as an assistant and associate professor (2006–2011). After this, he moved to POSTECH and joined the Department of Chemistry. He is now a professor of Chemistry at POSTECH and also director of Creative Research Initiative Center for Nano-space-Confined Chemical Reactions (NCCR). His current research is focused on studying the spatially confined reactions that occurs within nano-sized solid-state or solution-phase media and developing nanomaterials for the applications in catalysis and biomedical fields.

Professor Raman Singh’s research expertise is in environment-assisted degradation and its mitigation by nanotechnology (e.g., graphene coating) and environment-assisted. His professional distinctions and recognitions include: Editor of a book on Cracking of Welds (CRC Press), Lead Editor of a book on Non-destructive Evaluation of Corrosion (Wiley), Editor-in-Chief of an Elsevier and two MDPI journals, leader/chairperson of a few international conferences and regular plenary/keynote lectures at international conferences, over 250 peer-reviewed international journal publications, 15 book chapters/books and over 100 reviewed conference publications, and several competitive research grants. Dr. Niloufar Raeis-Hosseini (PhD. Alumni Fellow of the Royal Society and Member of IEEE) is an assistant professor at Cranfield University and is affiliated with the Composites and Advanced Material Centre. Niloufar has been awarded her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from POSTECH, with honours and awards. She fulfilled her postdoctoral fellowship by winning professional research funding from the Korean government and joined the Nanoscale Photonics and Integrated Manufacturing lab. She is a former honorary research fellow at Imperial College London (ICL), granting a Newton International fellowship (NIF). She joined a multi-disciplinary research group of Circuits and Systems at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at ICL, associated with Centre for Bio-Inspired Technology and Centre for Processible Electronics. Dr. Raeis-Hosseini is an international expert with more than a decade of fruitful experience in the fabrication, characterization, and analysis of nanoelectronic materials, devices, and systems. She has a very strong profile in nanotechnology and the development of flexible and stretchable nanodevices. Her research interests lie in advancing nanostructured materials for novel applications in nanoelectronics and nanophotonics. She mainly focuses on a new generation of nanoelectronic devices, including nonvolatile memories (NVMs). She is interested in low-power consumed Resistive Switching Random Access Memories (ReRAMs), memristors, and synaptic devices for neuromorphic computing. She has over a decade of successful experience in realizing emerging ReRAMs & memristors, including energy-efficient artificial synapses with their potential applications in artificial intelligence (AI) and pattern recognition.

Prof. Shachar Richter (Ph.D. in Materials Science and Chemical Physics, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel) is the head of the Bioand Molecular Electronics Lab and a faculty member at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Tel Aviv University. After graduation, Prof. Richter was a post-doctorate fellow and was later appointed as an independent staff member (MTS) at Bell Laboratories and Agere Systems (NJ, USA). In 2001 he joined Tel Aviv University, where he established the Nanoelectronics lab at the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, where he serves as a core member. In 2003 he joined as a faculty member at the School of Chemistry, and in 2013 he moved to the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. In 2017 he was a sabbatical professor at Monash University (Australia), and In 2019 he won the "distinguished visiting scientist award" of The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). His current research interests are jellyfish-based composites for medical and environmental applications, molecular and bioelectronics, bio-nano composites, and novel patterning and processing technologies. Professor Richter is the founder and director of the university's first public asbestos service lab (TAU Analytical) and the founder of Jellyband, a new startup. Among his previous public roles: Director of the Wolfson Applied Materials Research Centre at Tel Aviv University, heading the MSc program in Materials Science and Engineering, serving as the president of the IVS (Israel Vacuum Society focusing on nanotechnology and surface science), and chairing the central chemistry committee of the Standards Institute of Israel, and more.

Dr. Fawang Liu is a Professor in the Applied and computational mathematics discipline at Queensland University of Technology. He received his MSc from Fuzhou University, China in 1982 and his PhD from Trinity College, Ireland in 1991, respectively. Since graduation, he has worked in computational and applied mathematics at Fuzhou University(he was promoted as Associate Professor on 1988), Trinity College Dublin, Xiamen University (First-class Professor), University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology (from 17 September, 1991).Professor Liu has made important contributions to the fields including numerical methods and theoretical analysis of the fractional differential equations, modelling anomalous transport, computational modelling of the human heart, implement adaptive image enhancement using fractional differential algorithms, a unifying framework for distributed-order fractional models, propagation of electrical signals in the white matter of the human brain, fractional dynamical models for MRI to probe tissue microstructure, parameter estimation for fractional dynamical models arising from biological systems, fractional viscoelastic Non-Newtonian fluids, computational finance,nanofluids for industrial applications, semiconductor device equations, microwave heating problems, gas-solid reactions, singular perturbation problem and saltwater intrusion into aquifer systems. Professor Liuis an international recognised expert and a leading researcher in the field of numerical methods and theoretical analysis for fractional dynamical systems. He has published over 340 papers in these fields. In 2012, Professor Liu won the prestigious Mittag-Leffler Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of Fractional Derivatives and their Applications. He has been award “Outstanding Achievements Recognition Award” by ACEMS in 2019. He has supervised more than 30 PhD students and Master of Philosophy students, and 40 visiting fellows on fractional dynamical models and applications. Dr. Jie Lian is a Professor of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Lian’s research mainly focuses on fundamental materials behavior under extreme environments, advanced materials and technologies for nuclear energy systems, and materials for alternative energy and functional applications. Dr. Ting Guo obtained his college degree in China, and his Ph.D. in the U.S.A. He has worked in the field of X-ray spectroscopy and nanoscale science and technology for the past 33 years. He published the first book of X-ray nanochemistry in 2018. Dr. Michael Campbell is an internationally known expert in Inertial Fusion, Plasma physics, High Energy Density Physics, high power lasers and their applications and advanced energy technologies including Generation IV nuclear fission reactors and biofuels. He has won numerous awards including Department of Energy’s E. O. Joachim Koetz studied chemistry at the Martin-Luther University Halle/Wittenberg and obtained his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry under supervision of Burkart Philipp in 1986 from the Institute of Polymer Chemistry of the Academy of Science in Teltow-Seehof (Germany). In 1992 he received habilitation and since 1994 he has been Professor of Colloid Chemistry at the University of Potsdam. Arvi Freiberg, Professor Emeritus of Tartu University, earned his Ph.D. in solid state physics from the Estonian Academy of Sciences (1976) and the Doctor of Sc. degree from the Latvian Academy of Sciences (1986). His pioneering scientific contributions belong into the fields of ultrafast and spectrally selective spectroscopy of chlorophylls, photobiophysicsof primary processes of photosynthesis, and high-pressure biospectroscopy. He is a founding member of the International Society of Photosynthesis Research and the Estonian Physical Society, and the elected member of the Estonian Academy of Sciences. Professor V.G. Plekhanov has graduated from Tartu State University (Estonia). He obtained Ph.D. (physics and mathematics) 1972 as well as Doctor of Science (physics and mathematics) 1982 – both degrees from Tartu State University. Christophe Boscher, after obtaining a degree in chemistry at the University of Rennes in France, began his career as an technician in a milk analysis laboratory and after in a cheese cooperative. He then worked as a technician at Sanofi in the pharmaceutical industry. In 1990, he joined the CEA (The French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Commission) and worked in the field of PVD (Pulverisation Vapor Deposition) for magnetic materials. He then specialized in Sol-Gel and became in 2016 a research engineer in this specialty. Dejun Li, Distinguished Professor of Physics and Materials Science, Tianjin Normal University, China, received his Bachelor's degree from the Tianjin Normal University in 1984. After he obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Tsinghua University in 1999, he entered Northwestern University, USA as a Postdoctoral in 2001. In 1998 he was appointed to be full Professor. Dr. Li’s research is focused on ion-beam and thin films for materials surface modification of various materials including biomaterials; coatings and nanomaterials for clean energy. The scope of Li’s research ranges from fundamental science, to applied nanotechnology and thin film or ion-beam technology, to emerging engineering issues - with a unifying theme centered upon development and application of novel thin films and nanomaterials for energy systems and modification of various tools and biomaterials. Specifically, his research activities are currently concentrated on developing various PVD and CVD approaches to synthesize low-dimensional thin films and nanomaterials as well as exploring their applications in various tools and model, biomedical hard tissues, and nano-energy materials. Dr. Zai-Fa Zhou is currently a Professor at Southeast University of China. He received his PhD degrees in microelectronics and solid state electronics from Southeast University in 2009. After graduation with the highest honor, he joined the faculty of the Department of Electronic Science and Engineering, Southeast University, and received the New Century Excellent Talents Award by the Ministry of Education in 2011. He was appointed as the deputy director in 2012 and the executive deputy director in 2018 of the Key Laboratory of MEMS of the Ministry of Education. His current researches include modeling and simulation of the micro/nano fabrication processes, in situ extraction of material parameters for MEMS/NEMS, MEMS design methods, etc.. The simulation tools for MEMS fabrication processes developed by Prof. Zhou’s group have been applied in some famous companies, such as Intel Corporation (USA), and Fujitsu Limited (Japan), etc.. Furthermore, a series of on-line test structures of MEMS material parameters have been applied in Wuxi CSMC Semiconductor Co. Dr. GuohuaXie obtained his Ph.D. degree from Jilin University (China) in 2011, working on OLED microdisplays. From August 2011, Dr. Xie carried out his postdoctoral research at TU Dresden (Germany), sponsored by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, investigating the stability of OLEDs. From January 2013 to January 2015, Dr. Xie worked for an OLED-based interdisciplinary project to treat skin cancer based on photodynamic therapy at the Organic Semiconductor Center of the University of St Andrews (UK). Dr. Hsing-Cheng Hsi received his Bachelor degree (1992) and Master degree (1994) both from the National Taiwan University, Taiwan. He got his PhD degree at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001. Dr. Hsi is a professor at the Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering, National Taiwan University. Dr. Hsi’s expertise is in development of novel technology for air pollution control, water treatment and reuse, and soil/sediment remediation. His research interests include (1) synthesis of novel carbonaceous adsorbents and metal oxide/photocatalysts for adsorption and catalytic oxidation or reduction in control of toxic metals (especially mercury), SOx, NOx and VOC presenting in air/flue gases, water and waste water, soil, and sediments;(2) development of novel active capping for remediating contaminated sediment by release inhibition; (3) fabrication of novel carbonaceous material for precious and rare metal recycling from urban wastes;(4) speciation and distribution investigation of heavy metals in soil and sediment, and understanding their environmental and health risk. Dr. Kuan-Wei Lee received the PhD degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Cheng-Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2006. He joined the Department of Electronic Engineering at I-Shou University as an assistant professor in 2006, was promoted to associate professor in August 2009, and was promoted to professor in February 2013. Prof. Lee’s main research focuses on metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) technology and its application in GaAs-based electronic devices. He was elected a Distinguished Teaching Instructor by the College of Electrical and Information Engineering at I-Shou University in 2010. Dr. Unnati Patel is currently a Quality Control Specialist at Avanti Polar Lipids LLC Part of Croda Pharmaceuticals. In her current position she is mainly involved in developing method development of variety of Lipid using various analytical instruments. Her graduate research concentrates on developing targeted nano antibiotics to combat antimicrobial resistance and cancer. We have mainly focused on design, development, and optimization of liposome/lipid nanoparticles, gold nanomaterial synthesis, with surface functionalization using bio-conjugate macromolecules such as peptides/proteins and polymers to create novel-biomaterials for targeted biomedical and drug delivery.

Prof. Dutz received his Diploma Engineer (Dipl.-Ing) in Biomedical Engineering from University of Applied Sciences in Jena/Germany in 2002 and his PhD (Dr.-Ing) from University of Freiberg/Germany in 2007. Prof Dutz is the Chair of Magnetic Nanoparticles Group at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Informatics at Technische Universität Ilmenau in Germany. With a background in Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, and Electronics his current research interests focus on synthesis, characterization, and application of magnetic nanoparticles for medical applications as well as instrumentation for these techniques, especially magnetic hyperthermia, magnetic drug targeting, and magnetic particle imaging.

Prof. Hiroyuki Shima (H.S) currently works as Head of Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Yamanashi in Japan. H.S received his Ph.D in the Department of Applied Physics, Graduate School of Engineering, Hokkaido University. His main research topics are focused on interdisciplinary physics, including mathematical science and condensed matter theory. He has published more than 120 research publications (peer-reviewed), written 4 books and 4 book chapters in the areas of mathematical physics and nanomaterials.

Dr. Viktor Sverdlov received his Master of Science and PhD degrees in physics from the State University of St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1985 and 1989, respectively. From 1989 to 1999 he worked as a staff research scientist at the V.A. Fock Institute of Physics, St. Petersburg State University. During this time, he visited ICTP (Italy, 1993), the University of Geneva (Switzerland, 1993-1994), the University of Oulu (Finland, 1995), the Helsinki University of Technology (Finland, 1996, 1998), the Free University of Berlin (Germany, 1997), and NORDITA (Denmark, 1998). In 1999, he became a staff research scientist at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He joined the Institute for Microelectronics, Technische Universität Wien, in 2004 and he is currently on a tenure-track position. His scientific interests include device simulations, computational physics, solid-state physics, and nanoelectronics.

Luigi Coppola, Civil Engineer, Associate Professor at University of Bergamo (Italy) – Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences and President of American Concrete Institute Italy Chapter. He has authored more than 300 original papers, and 21 books on admixtures for concrete, alternative low-carbon binders, waste management in concrete production, deterioration, durability and repair of concrete structures, mix-design, deterioration and restoration of historical buildings, corrosion and protection of rebars in reinforced concrete structures. Alan Wang is a principal investigator and Associate Professor at Auckland University. He has more than ten years of research experience in bioengineering informatics and integrated medicine, especially in advancing the role of medical informatics in health care. His research interests include bioengineering, data informatics, neurocomputing, and biomedical statistics and simulation. He has developed medical data analytics methods for mobile health and personalized diagnosis and prognosis based on intelligent computing theories. He has experience analyzing huge cohorts of patient data with applications of early diagnosis, disease understanding, and effective treatment of patients with different disorders. He serves as an Editorial Board Member and an Active Reviewer for several international journals.

Dr. Luis Alberto Lightbourn Rojas, PhD is a civil scientist and research entrepreneur. He is bionanofemtotechnologist, specialist in the areas of Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Mathematics. Currently, he is Owner and Director of the Bioteska Company, as well as owner and president of the Lightbourn Research Institute. Dr. Luis is also a creator and developer of the Enatiomorphic Amphiphilic Colloids and the Totally Tox Free system (TTF 3.0) Ethical and Scientific Guarantee of Food Safety.

Yosef completed his undergraduate studies in Physics and Math (dual major) at the Bar-Ilan university. He then did a Masters and PhD in physics, where he developed applications of statistical mechanics in the field of population genetics and evolutionary biology. He them continued to do post-doctoral fellowship at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard working with Profs. Franziska Michor and Prof. Gad Getz. During this time, he developed methods detecting mutations in reputative regions of the genome and applied his method in many projects. In 2020 he opened his Cancer Genomics Evolution lab at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering at the Technion. In his lab Yosef lead a team of researchers that focus on both on understanding early tumorigenic steps, as well as developing methods for analyzing tumors genomic data.

Dr. William Gerson Matias holds a degree in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1987), a Master's (DEA) in Environmental Toxicology - Université de Metz (1993) and a PhD in Environmental Toxicology - Université de Bordeaux II (1996). He was a Postdoctoral fellow at the Université du Québec à Montreal in Nanotoxicology (2010). He is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Dep. of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (Brazil). He is currently Superintendent of Projects, Dean of Research. He is also a reviewer of several national and international journals. He has experience in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, with emphasis on Water Quality and Environmental Toxicology, working mainly on the following topics: Effluent and Natural Water Toxicity, Genotoxicity, Toxicological Risk Analysis, Nanotoxicology and Contaminants of Emerging Concern.

Prof. Kun-Yu Lai is currently a professor in the Department of Optics and Photonics (DOP) at National Central University (NCU) in Taiwan. Prof. Lai received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University in USA in 2009. After working as the postdoctoral fellow in the Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics at National Taiwan University in 2009-2011, he joined the faculty in DOP at NCU. Prof. Lai specializes in the growth/fabrication of novel III-nitride optoelectronic devices, including plasmonic biosensors and LEDs. Dr. Rabea Al-Kershi is a principal investigator and associate professor at King Khalid University (KKU). His research interests focus on the design, fabrication, and characterization, of magnetic nanoparticles, and polymers nanocomposites and improve their properties as hosts for rare earth elements to face global economic and environmental challenges such as water treatment, energy generation and storage, and gas sensors. He supervised many theses and published many papers in this field. Moreover, He works as a coordinator for the Undergraduate Program in Physics Sciences and expert in quality control and academic development at KKU.

Dr. Al-Ghamdi completed his Ph.D degrees at Cardiff University UK in 2010. Afterword he got position at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al-Ghamdi research interest includes the design and fabrication of semiconductor devices laser diode and studies the optoelectronic and electrical properties of these devices by measuring their absorption, spontaneous, stimulated emission spectra, ideality factor, barrier height and series resistance. The current research topics include red emitters quantum dot laser diode which used in photodynamic therapy of cancer and also used in the manufacture of dual wavelength sources. Asad Alkhader is a specialist on plant nutrition and soil fertility. He is working as an expert researcher at the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) in Jordan. He is interested on plant nutrient and soil water management research issues. Most of his current research studies are focused on nutrient and water management.

Dr. Dinesh Pratap Singh, an associate professor in Department of Physics, University of Santiago of Chile (USACH), notched up his M.Sc. (2000) and Ph.D. (2007) degree in Physics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi India. Élia Roldão holds a PhD in Conservation and Restoration of Heritage - Specialization in Conservation Sciences, from FCT NOVA. Her research career has been guided by the pursuing of development of non-invasive and innovative methods for identification and treatment of photographs. Since 2000 she has done conservation treatments and preventive conservation projects on several Portuguese collections. Since 2019, she has been teaching at FCT NOVA.

Faezeh Fathi is a researcher of REQUIMTE/LAQV, Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto. She completed a Bachler in Applied Chemistry (2011); Master on Phytochemistry (2013); Master on Food Quality and Control at the University of Porto, Portugal (recognized degree 2020); PhD in Phytochemistry, at MPDRI, Beheshti University, Iran (2021); and a Joint PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Nutrition and Food Chemistry, at the University of Porto in 2021. Her specialization domains are extraction, enrichment, and standardization of food, agriculture and plant by-products, as well as medicinal plants and food sources. Her focus is to formulate high-value products through different encapsulation techniques with special attention to lipid-based carriers and nanotechnology (powder, nanoemulsions, micro/nanosuspensions). Furthermore, cosmetic and skin care products, such as anti-ageing and skin care creams, beauty soft gels, and others, are other research fields. Besides her academic expertise, she worked in the R&D section of the P.T.S Group as researcher, leader of R&D and technical manager for 3 years (2015-2018). She has been working as scientific advisor of a food and cosmetic company since 2015 (Vasha pharma, and P.T.S group) and she was a director of the call centre branch of Parikatan anti-wrinkle cream from 2017-2019, Tehran, Iran.

Dr. Kun Walter Ndamukong is an early career Research Associate in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon. His area of expertise is in (not limited to) synthesis and characterization of, organic ligands and metal complexes, nanoparticles and nanomaterials for biological and optoelectronics applications, by hot injection thermolysis of single source precursors and deposition of thin films by several CVD based techniques, spin coating and spray pyrolysis. His quest for knowledge has exposed him to several international trainings and conferences. He has co-directed four Masters thesis and has published four research works in peered reviewed journals.

Ons YAHYAOUI obtained her engineering degree (Dipl.-Ing) in industrial chemistry from the National Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of Tunis (INSAT) in 2020. She is currently in the final year of her thesis at the "Centre de recherche sur les Ions, les MAtériaux et la Photonique" (CIMAP) in Caen, France. Her thesis topic is the development of a high sensitivity polymer that can be integrated into MEMS dosimeters for gamma radiation. During her thesis, she is interested in the synthesis of gold/polymer nanocomposites and in the study of their behaviour under ionising radiation (defect creation mechanisms and radiolysis gas emission).

Thomas Schneiders is a project manager and PhD student at the Institut fuer Textiltechnik of RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany. He has a Master’s degree in Polymer and Textile Technology from the RWTH Aachen University as well and has 5 years of expertise in electrospinning and development of medical textiles and products. His research focus is in machinery, process and product development for electrospinning and the production of polymeric nanofibers. Especially for Tissue Engineering applications and stent coatings.

Sughra Mohamed received her Ph.D. in nanophotonics with a major in tailoring and confinement of light in nanophotonics and quantum systems from the University of Eastern Finland, Finland in 2022. Her research areas include quantum optics, Plasmonic, Photonic crystals, Bound state in continuum, vector beams, bright and dark modes. Her master's thesis examined the nonlinear light-matter interaction in thin films using pump-probe spectroscopy and Z-scan. She was awarded grants from the Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation, Saastamoinen Foundation, Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation for doctoral students grant, and Corning Women in Optical Communications award.

Professor Omolola Esther Fayemi is an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry and a postgraduate coordinator in the Department of Chemistry, North-West University, Mafikeng, South Africa. Her expertise in synthesis, characterization and application of nano-based materials through chemical and green mediated synthesis. She has supervised and co-supervised nine honours, 7 Masters and 4 Doctoral students to completion. She supervises ten postgraduate students (Hons, MSc and PhD candidates). The synthesized nanomaterials are applied in electrochemical sensors for biological and environmental analytes and wound dressing. Prof. Hulda Shaidi Swai, a Nanotechnology Scientist, holds a PhD in Biomaterials, from Queen Mary's College, University of London, UK where she also worked as a Researcher for 9 years. In February 2021 was awarded the Nkwamwe Nkuruma award. A competitive regional award given to female who has excelled in Science. In October 2020 was awarded Oliver Tambo chair in Nanotechnology in relation with Biomedical health and Sustainable agriculture after a very rigorous competition of African Senior Professors. This is a five year program with funding of 1m USD. With good progress the project can be extended up to 15 years. In August 2019 was awarded Head/PI: Incubation Centre namely Data driven innovation incubation Centre (DDI) The Centre address Food and Nutritional Security in the region after a very stiff competition with funding from IUCEA of 250,000USD. In May 2018, Prof. Swai was appointed the President of the African Materials Research Society (AMRS). This was followed by a very successful conference in 2019 held in Arusha Tanzania under her leadership. In 2013 she was appointed as an Extraordinary Professor in University of Pretoria, South Africa. In 2015, Prof. Swai joined NM-AIST and managed to acquire funds (USD 6 Million) from the World Bank for the establishment of the African Centre for Research, Agricultural Advancement, Teaching Excellence and Sustainability(CREATES) in Food and Nutritional Security in Africa which was established at the NM-AIST through the World Bank’s African Centers of Excellence (ACE II) initiative. This was also very competitive. The ACE II initiative aims at building training and research capacity in the region by training and raising a critical mass of specialized and skilled human capital that can use a multidisciplinary approach to ensure a sustainable environment, food, and nutritional security. Prof. Swai is the CREATES Director at NM-AIST. The program aims to strengthening content, delivery, outputs and outreach for the MSc and PhD programs in Life Sciences and other related programs, with particular focus on core thematic areas of Sustainable Agriculture, Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Management; Food and Nutrition Sciences; and Health and Biomedical Sciences. R.A. Ilyas is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. Dr. Nouredidne El Messaoudi, an Associate Researcher at the laboratory of applied chemistry and environment, Faculty of Sciences of Agadir (Ibn Zohr University, Morocco), notched up his M.Sc. (2012) and Ph.D. (20016) degree in Physical Chemistry from Ibn Zohr University, Agadir Morocco. He has a keen research interest and expertise in the green synthesis of nanoparticle and nanocomposite adsorbents from lignocellulosic materials (agricultural solid wastes) for wastewater treatment. Up to January 2023, my research work has been attributed to more than 40 publications, which have been cited more than 610 times with h index=14 (Scholar.google.com). He participated in more than 28 communications (speaker, oral, and poster). Ankit Bhardwaj is a final year PhD student at Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Manchester. He has worked as Research Engineer at IMRE, A*STAR, Singapore for 1.5 years in polymer composite department after completing his master’s degree in Nanotechnology from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. He did his Bachelor in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, India. His research interest includes nanofabrication, 2D materials, angstrom scale 2D capillaries, ion transport and polymer composites.

Dr. Shivangi has completed her PhD on the topic “Nickel-oxide(s) based hybrid for water purification” from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. She is currently looking for a postdoctoral research position and now working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, Meerut, India. Dr. Iman Taraghi received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, from Shahrood University of Technology in 2010, Iran. A/Prof. Dr. Adnan is a pioneer faculty member and an Assistant Professor of Analytical / Material /Environmental Chemistry at the Institute of Chemical Sciences, the University of Swat, Pakistan.
